Good friend Jackie from Vispera Aussies in Lloydminster came out last week to assist or rather I assisted in the banding of the tails. Apparently the the crew gets there musical talent from dad.. Ralf is quite the singer! A little puppy rarooing inside... little Ralf rarooing outside on the deck and a little Cockatoo picking up the background vocals.. Very interesting day!
Evo is spending more time outside the pool.. getting some much needed rest! She is a great mom, I am so pleased with how she takes care of her brood! I'm thinking if they continue to grow as they have, in a weeks time it's going to be a hostile takeover at feeding time!
Speaking of poo.. okay we weren't really but, we are now... The pups have a "bacteria overload" according to the vet. Mild, but enough to give them loose poop.. So they are all on a series of antibiotics for a week twice a day just to clear it up and prevent dehydration. First dose was this afternoon.. Now the vet said it was flavored meds that they should really like.. She was wrong! A seemingly easy task of .2 mls down the puppy hatch should be a breeze, or so you'd think... apparently the puppies didn't get the memo!
Otherwise all is good.. they are the greatest time waster ever! The main reason the blog is not updated as often as it should be. However to make up for the lack of news.. I have new pictures!! In no particular order! :)
